A once-vacant brownfield site in the heart of Didsbury is being transformed into a vibrant, sustainable community. Bordered by The Boulevard, The Avenue, Didsbury High School and Clearwater Drive, this £20 million development is set to bring new life to the area.

Approved by Manchester City Council in January 2023, the scheme includes 76 stylish apartments, a purpose-built ground floor medical centre , beautifully landscaped communal spaces, and convenient parking via a two-tiered deck car park.

All 76 homes are being delivered for Southway Housing Trust, a progressive housing association managing over 6,000 homes across Greater Manchester — the development will offer all one and two bedroom homes on affordable tenures, including affordable rent and shared ownership options.

Didsbury Medical Centre will relocate from Wilmslow Road to the brand-new, modern facility on the ground floor of the development. Designed to meet the needs of over 15,000 patients, the new centre will offer improved access and upgraded healthcare services.

Bridgestone Construction, the appointed contractor for the scheme, began work in April 2024. With a fully integrated and dedicated team, they bring a wealth of expertise in every aspect of construction project delivery.

Completion is scheduled for Autumn 2025.
